INSTRUCTORS

Eric Johnson

A PGA Golf professional for nearly 30 years with the bulk of that being the Director of Golf at Oakmont Country Club, here in Pittsburgh.  Eric has maintained his Top 100 designation from Golf Magazine for 12 years and is the only instructor within a 100 mile radius to be able to make this claim.  Eric's accolades include:

  • 12-time Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructor (US):      

  • 4-time Tri-State Section, Teacher of the Year (Tri-State record)

  • 4-time Tri-State Section, Horton Smith Award winner (Tri-State record)

Steve Shingledecker

Director of Golf and Fittings, has an extensive background as a player, which includes playing multiple USGA Am's and MId Am's as well as being a 3-time Sectional Qualifer for the U.S. Open.  He still holds two course records and has 16 career holes in one.   Steve has been instructing all levels of player from beginners to  collegiate and professional since 2001. Steve has worked closely with Eric gaining valuable knowledge and insight.  He is also coaching at Division I, Robert Morris University.    Shingledecker's athletic background also includeds being an All-ACC/All NCAA baseball player at N.C. State, and he was named the 2006 PIAA High School Boy's Basketball Coach of the Year while guiding Franklin High School to their 2nd state championship in five years.
